Referrals & Specialists

Copperfield Family Medicine treats  patients from age 13 years and upward.  We believe that for younger  folks, their health is best managed by a pediatrician.

Our office keeps a large database of  colleagues in most medical specialties.  If the need arises to see a  specialist or obtain some ancillary service, we will be pleased to  recommend someone.

Laboratory Testing

Educating Our Patients

Educating Our Patients

For your convenience, almost every lab  test we do can be collected in the office.  There is virtually never a  need to travel to an off-site lab.  For our doctors' tests, we proudly  collect specimens for Clinical Pathology Laboratories (CPL).  There is a dedicated phlebotomist from CPL stationed here for our exclusive use, collecting specimens  as a convenience for our patients. If testing is needed elsewhere, we can facilitate that as well.

Educating Our Patients

Educating Our Patients

Educating Our Patients

It is not uncommon for patients to have a number of questions or concerns about their health.
Our philosophy is this: the more you know, the better you do.
Patients are often on a great many medicines, yet do not understand why;  this is the perfect set-up for treatment failure.  It is extremely  important for them to be an active part of the healthcare team--actually  the most important part.
When patients know the reasons they are supposed to take their medicines, they usually do.
Drs. Hillert take pride in their efforts to teach their patients how  important it is to follow the plan of care.  Patients are frequently  given customized materials written by the doctors in order to make the  information as clear as possible.  It is vital for patients to learn  about their disease(s), because no one should care more about your  health than you do.
