She is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians and member of the Harris County Medical Association and Texas Medical Association. Her professional interests are in heart attack and stroke prevention.

A San Antonio native, he graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He is a Diplomate of the Amercian Academy of Family Physicians and member of the Harris County Medical Association and Texas Medical Association. He also is a Lifetime Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

He also is a Lifetime Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo serving on the Health Committee. His professional interests are in the fields of intensive lipid (cholesterol) management, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes.
